Where would I get training to become a professional dog behaviorist/trainer? (Best answer will be picked)?

I’m interested in taking courses to become a professional dog trainer/dog behaviorist, but only one college in my area provides anything, and it’s just a basic “animal behavior” class (I intend to take it, but I definitely need more training). Any advice is appreciated, especially from dog trainers.

Find a behaviorist in your area and make an appointment to talk with him/her about their experiences and schooling. Don’t forget to ask about the cost of this schooling & how long it takes before you can get certified

where to find classes on becoming a dog behaviorist?

I’m trying to google some places on animal behaviorist classes and everything that pops up is places to bring your dog for training, not classes for me personally to take to become one. Anyone know a website to look at or how I can phrase it in google?

There are many courses available online through community colleges.. Just do the search for “animal behavioral sciences online” , and see which colleges offer the courses in your state.
If you would like an outstanding course of animal behavioral sciences, Moorpark College in CA has a wonderful teaching zoo. Trainers for guide dogs for the Blind, and others are recruited from this college.> http://www.moorparkcollege.edu/~eatm/.

Dog Training business name?

I’m just finishing college to become a professional dog trainer/behaviorist and I can’t come up with a good name, cause most are taken. Does anyone have any good names, it doesn’t have to be dog like it can be something like “Kay dog training and behaviorist“, any good words that could mean dog too.

dog behaviourist training?

do u need to go to college to be a dog behaviourist or can u rely on ur own experinces and ur own teachings. im 15 and very good at reading dogs and my one ambition is to be a doh behaviourist

For anybody to take you seroius you need that certificate. YOu can be a great dog trainer but some ppl wont let you touch their dog without it
